It is reported that Kavachal has made a full confession as to the murders in the city. The arrest of Ravachal was effected through the agency of a waiter in a wineshop which he frequented. The Commissioner of police was informed of Ravachnl's visits to this wine shop, and paid the waiter a large sum of money for information which led to the arrest. The waiter is to be decorated with the cross of the Legion of Honour. April 4. Rarnchal has made a statement incriminating three of those who assistad him to carry out the recent explosions, and admitting that he is guilty of five murders. Intelligence has been received to the effect that French troops in Dahomey haye suffered a reverse in an engagement with the natives, Reinforcements are being sent to their assistance.
