(Received March 29, 11.45 a.m.) Stdnky, This Day. The weather has beea very bad during the past few days. Tliere is no sign of R.M.S. Mariposa which left Auckland for this port on Friday afternoon.
Wellington, This Day. The Dunerlin wrestling match, Powley versus Fisher, of the West Coast, for the light weight championship of the colony, resulted in a draw after four hours keen play. Patea, This Day. A girl named O'Brien, agod 10, was terribly burned last night by her clothes ditching fire. The girl has succumbed to her injuries. Dunkdin, This Day. The Star states the Hon. P. Buckley will shortly resign and seek election in the House of Commons for an Irish constituency in the National interest.
