Interpreting a Dream
A labourer at Dundee harbour lately told his wife' on awakening, a curious dream he bad bad during the nig-ht. He dreamt rhat he aaw coming towards hi m four rats. Ibe first one was very fat, and was followed by two lean rats, tbe rear rat being blind. He appealed to his wife concerning this, but she, poor woman, could not help him. His son, a sharp lad, who heard father tell the story, volunteered to do the interpreter. "The fat rat. "he said, is the man who keeps the public-house that ye gang till sac often, the twa lean ores are me and my mither, and the blind one is yerself, feyther.
