Elsewhere Messrs Ross & Sandford of the Bon Marche, Palmerston N. direct the attention of Cash purchasers of Drapery to the adyantages to be secured by making their selections during the present clearing sale at The Bon Marche, the goods being disposed of comprise the whole stock, which is all new and in good condition. The difference between present prices and ordinary prices is considerable. A very large quantity of stock has already been disposed of, but there still remains a thoroughly good choice of genuine bargains in Cotton and Stuff Dress pieces and Remnants, also Calicoes, Sheeting, Shirtings, Flannellettes and Household Drapery, while Mantles, Millinery, Dust Cloaks and Sunshades are being disposed of at absolutely nominal prices so as to effect a complete clearance previous to alterations. — Advt. General Sherman's Mistake.— General Sherman once gave an order to a well* known gentleman's furnisher in Wash'. ington for a dozen shirts. In due time the shirts were delivered, and a cheque for the amount was received by the shirtmaker.
