Lieutenant Charles Dunk has been gazetted Captain of the Manawatu Mounted Rifles. The ammunition for the year may be expected daily. A meeting of the shooting committee will be held at Mr Bray's office this even* ing at 7.30. The parade of the Manchester Rifles called for the 17th instant (St. Patrick's Day) has been postponed until Thursday the 24th instant. It is noticeable that there are seven old champions attending the Association meeting at Trentham, and that four out of that number (Kruse, Purnell, Remiogton, and Churton) are from Wanganui.
