Sir Samuel Griffith has written to the Agent«General expressing regret at the several misunderstandings which have occurred with the Bank of England. Mr Tyson, the millionaire, has offered to buy £200,000 worth of Treasury bills. Adelaide, March 14. The Commission appointed to enquire into the causes and prevention of red rust in wheat have finished their work. They recommend early sowing and the cultivaj tion of an early-ripening wheat, the harvesting of rust-infected crops in an early stage, and the growing of wheat after crops of a different order agreeably to the true principles of rotation. The Commission also propose the establishment of central stations in each colony to test new wheats introduced into the country.
