The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report on _ the produce markets for the week ending * Wednesday 9th March, as follows ; — Wool— At our sale held 4th instant, we catalogued about 500 bales, a large proportion of which was lambs wool. In sympathy with London advices yalues for all sorts receded, tae average decline being from 6 to 7| per cent. Lambs wool, for which at previous sales prices ranged high, met with scarcely as good competition at figures showing a drop as aboye ; notwithstanding this, however, sales bear very favourable comparison with London cable quotations. Inferior crossbred wools and sandy were neglected, and many lots were passed in failing to reach local estimates. We have, however, placed a considerable portion privately since the auction. Sheepskins— We have again to record that the quantity brought forward has been small, but all on offer met with a gpod demand at full market rates.
