Dividend, £6 7s. SECOND DAY. The following are the results of the above race meeting : — Earle Stakes Handicap. — North Atlantic, 1 ; Weka, 2 ; Paradox, 3. Dividend, £1 14s. Second Handicap Hurdle Race.— Hiamoe, 1; Commotion, 2; Empire, 3. Dividend, £7 2s. Wanganui Stakes Handicap, of 200 soys 1£ miles. — Whisper, 1 ; Krina, 2 ; La Petite Fille, 3. The V.B.C. were favoured with another splendid day for their meeting. The following are the results : — Hurdles; 2 miles. — Satyr, 1; Kimberley, 2 ; Wairua, 3. Twelve horses started. Won very easily. Time, 3min 50f sec, Autumn Handicap ; 1 mile 5 furlongs. Forty Winks, 1 ; Portsea, 2 ; Annesley, 3. Sixteen started. Won by a long neck. Time, 2min 51£ sec. Champion Stakes; 3 miles. — Strathmore, 1 ; Zalinski, 2 ; Highborn, 3. Megaphone, Freedom, and Stromboli also started. Won by two lengths. Time, 6min 53sec. Free Handicap. — Florrie, 1; Spokesman, 2 ; Penance, 3. Nineteen started. Won easily by a length and a half. Time, 2min 9jsec. Stromboli was fourth in the Champion Stakes, followed by Freedom and Megaphone.
