Feilding Fire Brigade
A usual practice of tho above was held on the Square last night, Captain Morey in charge, when some very good work was done. There was a very good muster, but we should like to see a few more of the old members turn out. After the practice an ordinary meeting was held at tho station, which was presided over by . Lieut. Shearer, in the absence of Captain Morey. Fireman W. Stevens was elected p to represent the Brigade at ths Pahnerston Brigade's annual ball to be held on the 9th of March. Messrs J. Lucre and G. Worsfold were elected members, and Mr Peter Thomson was elected an honorary member. Bye-the-bye we should be glad to see many more follow his example. It was resolved to divide the town into four wards for the purpose of signalling the direction of a fire, the number of strokes on the bell to represent the ward. The team to represent the Brigade at Cliristehureh will leave Feilding on tho 9lh of March, and wo trust they will give a good account of thomselyos on their return.
