♦- (PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) London, February 24. The quantity of wheat and flour afloat ' for the United Kingdom is 3,800,000 quarters; for the Continent, 1,132,000 quarters. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 64,300,000 bushels. Butter is inactive. Inferior packing is proving deleterious to colonial butter, the favourite brands of New Zealand factory butter alone being an exception. Mr Meadows, of the firm of Trengrouse and Co., provision agents, is sailing ior the colonies in April, to develop the butter industry.
