Terrible Fire in New York

[ riill UNIXKD PRESS ASSOCIATION. | New York, February 8. The Eoynl Hotel, a six-stoned building, has been destroyed by fire. Numbers were killed and injured. Shocking scenes occurred during the progress of the fire. The driver of an elevated railway detected the fire in the Eoyal Hotel in the morning. He stopped the train and whistled loudly, and so woke up the inmates of the building. The life-saving corps worked splendidly. Latest. Five bodies have been recovered from the Social (?) Hotel debris. Forty-nine are missing ; 24 of the inmates were injured in attempting to escape, while 81 managed to get out of the burning building without being hurt.
