Feilding Fire Brigade
A meeting of the Fire Brigade was held last night in the office of Mr Bray. In the absence of the Captain, Mr Bray presided. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was received from the United Association, re applications to insurance companies for aid. Resolved, That the delegate to Christchurch be instructed to act. Lieut. Shearer here entered and took the chair. Accounts amounting to .£l6 6s Id were passed for payment. Fireman Eade was elected Foreman. There were two other candidates. Mr Eade returned his thanks for the honor, and said he would do his level best to merit the confidence placed in him. Two hundred debentures were taken up in the room. The concert committee will meet tonight to make definite arrangements.
