It is reported that the action of the Glasgow iron merchants, in trying to undersell the London syndicates, will cost the latter a quarter of a million sterling. January 28. There is still spirited competition at the wool sales, and prices are unchanged. Inferior sorts show no improvement, but prices for bulky scoured combings are a trifle better.
