Land Board

The ordinary meeting of the above was held at Wellington on Thursday. The following applications to obtain titles were r approyed :— [Village settlement area, Bunny thorpe.B.Serre; Haurangi, G. The following applications to obtain titles were not approved : — Mangaone, F. Garrett; Apiti, A. Dick; Pohangina, J. R. Russell (2 sections). ■ \ Applications for transfer approved included the following :— Pohangina, R. B. McKenzie to M. Hart; Apiti, T. Clark to G. Perry ; Apiti, E. . Erwin to E. Perry ; Apiti, E. Jones, to A. W. H. Wicks. The following applications to capitalise were approved ; G. Fenton, Mangahao ; j. Jones, Mangaone ; P. Murphy, Apiti ; J. Goggen, Mangahao; F. Garrett, Mangaone. The Ranger reported a 6 to the difficulties he experienced in arriving at a true estimate cf the . value of improvements effected -by selectors, and it was resolved fo thank him for his full and complete report, and adopt his schedule of prices. The Board decided to cancel the interest of the selector of section 2, block 11, Pohangina, as he had refused to sign his lease. The Kiwitea Road Board forwarded plans and proposals for expending accrued thirds in their district. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Hogg, M. U.K., seconded by Mr M'Oardle thfct land sales for the future be advertised three times in the daily papers, twice in the bi-weekly papers, and once in the weekly papers of the district, sub ject to satisfactory arrangements being made at the discretion of the Commis* sioner. The application of Mr T. E. Chamberlain with reference to himself and his brothers uniting their sections at Apiti bi one holding, was deferred, pending the surveyor's reportThe Board decided to cancel the interests of the following in their respective blocks :— Messrs J. M. M'Grath, F. Saunders, H. Phillips, and A M'Uool. The Board then adjourned.
