The Grattan Riggs Company
On Thursday evening Mr Grattan Riggs played to a very well filled house. The piece staged was the " Irish Deteotiye" and in the several characters represented by Mr Grattan Biggs he was very successful. The other actors also merited and received applause. At the conclusion of one of the scenes Mr Grattan Biggs came before the curtain and expressed his surprise that the front part of the hall was not better filled. His company was a large one which entailed on the management very heavy expenses, and he considered that they deserved better patronage. However it was not his intention to wipe Feilding of his theatrical map, but would visit the town again iv about a mouth with his company when a piece called " The Shadows of a Great City," by L. R. Shewell and Joseph Jefferson, jr., now in course of preparation, would be produced. It is a sensational and domestic drama. He spoke in flattering terms of the hall and the excellencies of tho Feilding Hotel accommodation, and thanked the audience for their attendance. ■ i
