The Times obituary column to-day contained 160 notices of deaths, 24 of which resulted from influenza. Her Majesty the Queen and the Prince and Princess of Wales express their deep regret at the death of Cardinal Manning. Repeated attempts have been made to wreck trains at Eeigate, which is on the London and Brighton and Southeastern railways, but failed. Sleepers were lound tied across the rails, but were removed in time to avert an accident. Obituary— Archduke Charles Salvator, brother of the Grand Duke of Tuscanj . His death was caused by influenza. Paris, January 19. The French fleet have been instructed to land sailors at Tangiers if seamen of another Power attempt to intervene in the trouble with the hill-men. The rising is subsiding since the Governor has been recalled. Fighting is reported in Dahomey. Ten thousand natives attacked Kotonou Pass.
