Pahiatua Poisoning Case
At tho inquest on the Pahiatua poisoning case it was elicited, says tho Woodville Examiner, that the poison was arsenic. It was placed in the meat cut up into slices which was used at the fatal meal. The time when it waa done was botween twelve and one o'clock, and it was deliberately placed there with a malicious purpose.
(per press association). Wellington, This Day. It is not expected any evidence will be adduced at the inquest in the Pahiatua poisoning case inculpating anyone. All researches so far have failed to elucidate the cause of the catastrophe, but some of the victims are still too weak to make any statement.
