He is considered by competent judges to be one of the best carriage horses ever imported to this colony. He was imported by John Eerr, Esq., M.H.R., who says he has no equal in the colony for getting hacks, hunters, or fast and powerful light harness horses; Oakgrove is by Irvington, dam Druidese ; Irvington is by Ryadyk's Hambletonian, dam Imogene by Seeley's American Star. Oakgrove will be at Mr Charley Fitz* Herbert's, Cinder Hill, Makino, on Tuesday ; in JFeilding and Palmerston on Wednesday ; Bulls on Thursday. Terms : £3 3s per season, or half guarantee £4— £2 first of January, 1892. £2 first ' September, 1892, or when mare proves in foal. Paddocking free for one month.
