The ordinary monthly meeting of the Education Board was commenced yesl erday, when Messrs Garspn (in the chair^, Bridge, Notman, Hur/ey, ; Fry, "Balder, and the Eey Mr Eossiwere present. ••* f The Board went into .Committee, to consider appointments, and oh reassembling reported as follows ■:— ;: T ;• ■ Cainpbelltown.— Miss. McKay (having been selected by the Committee as'assistant teacher, she was accordingly. ' appointed by the Board. | Upper Taonui.^-Mr W. J. Powell having resigned s the tei\chershjp of this school, the vacancy was 'referred to the Executive. • • I i Ashurst.— The resignation of Mrs Whibley.'the assistant .teacher, was accepted. Halcorabe.7-This;.C6mmitteer bayirig written regretting that the Boai;d had resolved to retain.the teacher,:. it.. was^ie solved to reply that while tHe ( Bo£krd. was satisfied with the results 'obtaine'3 J by 'Mr Collier heretofore.
