+ STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.. There was a large attendance of buyers el Messrs Stevens and Gorton's stock sale, at Feilding, on. Thursday, the crush was, in fact, so great that it was impossible for the majority to inspect the- stock after the sale had commenced. The following were the prices realised: — 2| to 3 year steers, L 4 8s ; fat cows, L 5 7s 6d ; store cows in calf, L 3 14s ; 4 and syear bullocks, L 4 16s ; milch cows, L 4 10s to Lo 2s 6d yearlings, mixed, L 2 lls. Sheep — Shorn ewes with 120 per cent of lambs, 17s 8d ; two-tootb. ewes, shorn, 14>3 8d; fat wethers, 12s 6d; fat ewes, 12s Id; wcaner pigs, 5s to 5s 6d; unbroken draughts, LlB 10s ; bucks, L 5 to Ll2. It will be seen lhat the price of cattle and sheep is steadily rising.
