December 1. An official telegram received here states that the rebels are 800 miles from Pekin, if 'and that there are 5000 Christians in Eastern Mongolia who require protection. The press are tmanimous that decisive !•' 'and concerted action should be taken to afford protection to the Missions and foreigners.
