The Waipiro Native Difficulty
(pee press association). Gisbobne, November 6. Nothing will be done re the native trouble at Waipiro till Mr Booth, R.M., arrive? to»morrow afternoon. Tuta's people wi'.l not retire from Waipiro block, they prefer to be made prisoners. Tufca has informed Inspector Emerson that he might kill or shoot him, but he would never give up the Waipiro Block, which he says was taken from him illegally by the Native Land Court. Inspector Emerson is satisfied that Tuta will offer him no resistance. The police and artillery, who arrived at Waipiro, from Auckland, are haying a splendid picnic. Tutu and his tribe are showing every kindness to them. The Waipiro brass band played a few selections last evening in honour of the troops, and then marohed to Tuta's camp and served him the same.
