SIR GARNET as a three-year-old won the Maiden Plate at the Duneain Jockey Club Autumn Meeting, beating a big field. He carried off the Derby Stakes at the Southland Jockey Club Autumn Meeting, — beating Sylvanus ; he won the Trial Stakes at the South Canterbury Jockoy Club Meeting, beating Nautilus and four others ; he also won the Flying Handicap at Timaru, benting a big field.
