It is reported a conflict has taken place at Delagoa Bay between the British and Portuguese troops, in which two men were killed and fifteen wounded. Thirteen thousand engineers on the Tyne and Wear have struck. Tom Mann has prepared plans for docks in London,, which are to- be submitted to the Labor Commission, by, which a saving of three per ton in handling goods will be effected. A destructive fire broke out this morning iti the Prince of Wales' residence at ' Sandringhaui. Two top floors, in which Princesses Maud and Victoria's robins; were situated, were gutted. The damage' is estimated at £15,000. The Prince of Wales was absent at the lime. The first floor, containing the Prince's suite of rooms and all bis works of art, was saved by the fire-proof ceiling.
