LPSR UNITEP PBESB ASSOCIATION, j Stdney, October 27. At the New South Wales Rifle Association competition, Corporal Hazard, of A. Battery, Auckland, scored 62, out of a possible 70 in the Nursery Match, and won i' 2. The score of the winner was 67. It is understood that the Labour Party in the House of Assembly will not support any alteration in the present tariff until other and more important reforms have been dealt with, or until the fiscal question has been submitted to a direct vote of the people. Melbourne, October 27. The Marine Court has found Captain Bell; of the Gambier, guilty of gross misconduct in connection with the collision betweeu the Gambier and the Easby at the Heads, and has suspended his certificate for niue months. Captain Bell declined to hand in his certificate to the Court pending the appeal to tho Gover-nor-m-Council.
