In Cork to-day, nn unruly mob pursued Messrs Dillon and O'Brien through the streets, yelliDg "Murderers and traitors." It has now been ascertained that previous attemps were made to destroy tho National Press office, The affair yesterday was premeditated for immediately after the explosion sixty men rushed into the office, shouting "Is Healy dead." Some alarm exists throughout the coun try, as it is feared that the extreme wing of the Parpellers may further develop the dynamite policy. Serious rioting has taken place at the Cork Convention, the mob stoning and beating the followers of Mr Justin McCarthy. The military had to be called out to assist the police in escorting Messrs Dillon and O'iirien to their hotel, which is strongly guarded. In the course of one of his addresses Mr Dillon declared that the United Ireland party had threatened to sell Ireland to the Saxons before they would make friends with the McCarthyites. The collision between the Boston and the Chnrlewood occurred o£E the Eddyslone Lighthouse. Harrowing scenes were witnessed as the latter vessel set.led down. The captain's daughter and. six o£ the crew were the only persons on. board who were saved. The Boston was not damaged by the collision. Beklin, October 28. In consequence of revolting crimes which hare taken place here recently", the Emperor has directed that the strongest repressive measures to be taken in the interests of morality. The King of liouniania, who is on a visit to this city, has been cordially received by the Emporor. A man has been arrested here on sus* picion of being connected with the murder of women under circumstances similar to the Wb.itech.apel murders. NewYobk, October 28. The Eoyal Commissioners of the Chicago Exhibition announce that applications for space will be .received up to 29ih February next; also that space will be charged for, but if not used the aniount paid will be refunded. Paeis, October 26. Pere Hyacinthe has made a vehement attack on the Pope's claim to temporal power, and he says while he honoured Pope Leo's virtue, ho could not honour him as a pretender to be unearthly potentate.
