We have to thank our contemporaries for their kindly expression of feeling towards us. Tho Marton Mercury says :— " The Feilding Stae has, we notice, been enlarged. Hearty congratulations." Tho Evening Post says :— " The Feilbing Star has just been enlarged, and a further enlargement is promised shortly." Tho Manawatu Herald says :— " We congratulate our contemporary, tho Feilding Star, on its enlarged and improved form. On Tuesday, with extra four columns it appeared. We are pleased to note this sign of success, and trust the proprietors will have cause to mako still further enlargement in a fow years time. Tho Star, unuonbtedly, is the paper for a yery lar-^e and yearly improving district; and ' Messrs Kirton and Curtis do their leyel best to advance its interests."
