EXPENDITURE.

The following appointments^were made: ' — Mr H. I/. Snerwill, secretary ; Mr C. Bray, treasurer. The resignation of Mr J. E. Henry was received, "and on the motion of Mr G. H. Saywell, seconded byMrKirton, it was* resolved, That the resignation of Mr Henry, as handicapper of the Club, be accepted with regret. A letter was read from Mr Copeland, ot Wanganui, applying for, the position vacated by Mr ' Henry, and several gentlemen spoke very _ highly of Mr Copeland's qualifications, and on the motion of Mr Morey, seconded by Mr Strachah, Mr Gopeland was elected unanimously, as handicapper for the Clnb. Mr Morey said before the new committee were elected he would express, the hope that the Club would be 'made selfsupporting. Mr Ma.carfcnn.r stated thai taqfc wag what they had alway* tried to do. x The following gentlemen -were then nominated and elected as the committee for the ensuing year, with -power to add to their number: — Messr3 C. Bray (senr.), C. Bray (junr.), Walter L. Bailey; William L. Bailey, John Bartholomew (senr.), Gosling, E. Goodbehere, Hartgill, W. G. Haybittle, Kirton, P.' Y. Lethbridge, George Lethbridge, J. C. Morey, D. H. Macarthur, W. Eeid, Butherford, G. H. Saywell, Strachan, Trimble, and Worsfold. Eesolyed, That the first committees meeting be held at the office of the secret' tary, Mr H. L. Sherwill, on, Tuesday "" next at 8 p.m., and that all meetings of the committee be held on Tuesdays. A unanimous yote of thanks was passed to the retiring officers and committee, and the usual compliment to .the chairman closed the proceedings.
