♦ UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. I DumsDiw, Otctober 2& A man named Paul Drew was killed to-night by being run over by a tramcar. It appears he jumped off the front of the car while it was in motion without the driver noticing him. He muet have fallen under the wheels, which passed over his chest, and killed him at once. A man named Robert Biddal was killed at Oatlin'a Kiver by a tree falling' on him when bush felling. Wamuvta. October 20. A shocking accident occurred yesterday at Blackburn's Flaxmill, Kaikora North, Robert Kirk, 24 years of age, unmarried, was feeding the flax, whonthe machine caught his hand, dragging the arm in up to the shoulder, where it was broken; off. The man was conveyed to the County Hospital where the arm was amputated. ..
