STOUTENS & QORTON'S STOCK 'BEPOIiT. » We had full entries of both, sheep and cattle at Sanson on the 22nd instant, but smaller than usual at Feilding on the 24th. The sheep at Sanson were of a superior class, and found ready sale at recent rates, every pen finding a purchaser. Considerably larger numbers of sheep came forward at Feilding than were advertised, mostly of a somewhat inferior class. The tone of the sale was dull throughout;, and several pens were turned out unsold, and a smart drop from the somewhat abnormal values which have prevailed lately was perceptible. Cattle, with the exception of female stock, maintained their prices at both sales. We quote as under : — At Sanson;^-i-Two year steers, £2 14s 6d to £3 3s ; yearlings, £2 ; forward cows, i' 3 12s 6d ; store cows, .±2 17s ; weaners, 20s ; milkers, £8 17s 6d to £5 19s 6d. At. Feilding.— Fat bullocks, .£6 10s ; fat cows, £B 10s to .£4 ; 3yr steers (rough) M to £4 2s 6d ; well bred 2 and 2Jyr steers, £4 ; 18m 6. steers, £2 18s 6d ; 2yr heifers, ±'3 6s 6d ; store cows, £3 2s 6d; yearlings, 39s 6d to £2 ss. - At Sanson. — Hoggets, mixed, 12s Id to 15s 3d ; well bred ewe hoggets, 14s lid to 168 3d.; wether hoggets, 13s 6d to 14s 9d; fat wethers, 17s to 17s 6d ; forward wethers, 15s 3d ; fat ewes, 14s 8d ; ewes and lambs,. 16. At Feilding. — Fat shorn ewes, 10s id ; forward wethers, 15s 9d; hoggets 11s 6d to 13s lid. Horses.— Hacks, £6 2s 6d.
