Waimate Rifles, Ciiristchurch Garrison. Stanmore, Svdenhnm, Addinston Workshop, WeU lington Garrison, Westport. DtJNEDtN, This Day. The unemployed to the number of 250 waited on the Mayor, city and suburban members this morning,, clamoring for work, and stating they were in real distress. The members present promised to urge the Minister of Public Works to immediately find work for them on the Otago Central, for which £30,000 was voted recently. Wkllingtov, Tins Day. Several Ministers will be leaving Wellington this week and the Preuii r goes ! to "Wanganni on Thursday, ,and the Minister of Lands leaves for the South tomorrow. Mr Ward left for Inyercargill yesterday, and will shortly pay a visit to Australia.
