A painful case of murder ; and | _ Buicide by a woiti.tu is reported from , Tennessee. A Mia Lockhtiilge, re- ~ sldipgijj Maury county in that Ptate, during the absence of her husband at church on Sunday, killed her three children, aged respectively four, and three years, and five months, and then committed suicide. .The weapon used was a double Panelled shot gun, and it appears thai the woman placed tho'barrel to the children's heasts bef >re filing, and afterwards laid the thiee boities side by side on a pallet. S ie left h letter to her husband saying thit this was nut die first attempt she had mada to destroy herself and the children, lining on a previous occasion used laudanum, but without effect; She concluded by declaring that she and her children were all going to heaven. Mrs Lockridge V»s only 30 years of age.
