Two hundred mats of Queensland sugar brown syrup sold by auction at 10s 3d. The wool sales are showing a slightly improved tone. Porefgn buyers are active at the wool sales, but it is believed that the McKiuley tariff is responsible in part for the fall in prices. There is a revival in the iron trade.
