Two station hands,- named respectively Liddell and' Nelson* were drowned. Their bodies Save not jet been recovered. Mr Wallace, station manager, got ashore in a thoroughly rxhausted condition, but is now 1 all rrgbt. Dunedin, September 18. Sir Robert Stout has received telegrams grams from all parts of the country urging him to contest the Christchurch seat. He has definitely declined as his-engage-ments will not permit.
