Three gendarmes were killed in rescuing kidnapped Jews in Bablaski. Cholera is raging at Aleppo and Aintab, in Syria, and is spreading west. Two thousand deaths are reported daily. It is officially announced that a change of Ministry does not imply a change in the European policy of Turkey. Sir W. A. White, British Ambassador, demands that the Porte should apolizise for firing on the British merchant vessels passing the Dardanelles in July last, and in the meantime declines to visit the Sul an's palace. New Yoke, September 9. A severe cyclone passed over Halifax, Nova Scotia, wrecking the town and shipping, The damage is estimated at £12,000. St. Petersburg, September 9. The Russian Government is uneasy at the attitude adopted by China, and has decided to store immense quantities of munitions of war at Vladivostock. Russia is massing troops on the Austrian and German frontiers. Valparaiso, September 9 A syndicate of European capitalists, out of sympathy with the Junta, offer to advance half a million of money. Madrid, September 9. A sensation has been caused in this city by the formation of a new army corps. It is understood the reason is due to sorious local rioting. Bkblin, September 9. Germany has been officially enquiring into the Canadian rye crop and the Government have been informed that two million bushels are available for export.
