Tuesday, September 8. The Council met at 2.30. The Hon. Mr Buckley moved the second reading of the Electoral Bill. The second reading was agreed to, the committal being set down for next day. The Mining Bill was committed, and several amendments were made. The Council then rose. Wednesday, September 9. v The Hon. Mr Fulton presented a petition signed by ten thousand women in favor of female suffrage being allowed. The debate on the second reading of the Female Suffrage Bill was adjourned till next day. • The Government Loans to Local Bodies Bill was read a second time.
