I THE TRIUMPH OF THE LIBEBALS. b l TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAB. f Sir, — Let me raise a cheer : " Hurrah L for John Ballance ! Hurrah ! ! " He has 1 at last got rid of that thorn in his side — Bryce— which has troubled him so long. One more obstacle removed from the path ■ of the Goyernmsnt, they should be more 1 free to move in the direction desired by ' the mass of the people. If the Government can but remove a few more of the 1 Conservative bull dogs, who have so stubbornly guarded the interests of the monied class, with all their ill-gotten wealth — wealth in reality which belongs to the community. A few more of these half fossilized Tories cleared out of the way, and the Government should make immense strides towards the realization of the hopes of all true Liberals, viz. : — the equalization of sill property. The whole civilized world is at present in the throwes of a struggle between Capital and Labour. The honor of leading the way, of solving this gneat problem, is to be gained by this glorious country, this Britain of the South. Hurrah for Liberty and Equality ! Hurrah for John Ballance I Hurrah I Optimist.
