LATER PARTICULARS.
Valparaiso, September 2. Coquimbo has surrendered to the Congressional Party. Fearful scenes of riot ; and yiolence haye occurred at Conception and Coranal. The latter place was sacked by the mob, who indulged in excesses of the worst kind. Women were abused under circumstances of revolting brutality.The German warships are now protecting the place. At Talcohuano the troops revolted and were joined by four thousand^ misers, who shot all their officers and sacke d; the town. _ I There is a violent feeling againt Mr Egan, the American Minister, who is accused of harboring the refugee officials in American warships. Order has been restored in Santiago. A German cruiser, with Don Claudio Vienna, who was to have succeeded Balmaeeda, and many other official refugees, has gone north and will, it is believed, land them at Callas. It has been found impossible to bury those killed in Friday's battle, and the b odies will be cremated. New Yobk, September 2. A rumour has found publicity here that Balmaceda, .while fleeing from Santiago, enraged at the slowness of his muleteer, struck him, and was shot dead by the man. The rumour, howeyer, has not been confirmed.
