South Australian wheat, 45s 63 ; Victorian is firm at 455. German sugar, 13s ■64; Java is quiet at ]ss. No. 1 best Scotch pig iron, f .o.b. in Clyde, is steady at 475. Tallow — Average beef 25s 6d ; mutton, '.28sv ■ ■ . ■ At the auction sale of Australian woolled sheepskins there was a moderate Attendance of Home and Foreign buyers. IPrices showed a slight decline, the rates realised being — Crossbreds, medium greasy, 6d ; merinos, ditto, s^d.

Good mutton is worJh 28s per cwfc, and good beef, 25s 9ri. Frozen meat — Both mutton and beef markets are quiet, and that for lamb is Canterbury mutton is worth 4d , : and Wellington. 3fd per lb. Prime New .Zealand lambs are worth, per carcase s§d perlb New Zealand beef, hind -quarters, is worth 4|d per lb. Other quotations are unchanged.
