Last Saturday being the fixture for the- - final round between Bulls and Feilding,at Bulls, the latter journeyed thither by Mr Daw's brake, 'everyone enjoying their rid© immensely and pretty confident of a win on arriying at their destination.. But, contrary to all expectation, Bull* simply walked over Feilding in the second spell. ' Speaking of the game, it was very friendly throughout, wrangling being", conspicious by its absence, it being one of the most friendly games played by the,. Juniors this season, everyone, however, . complaining bitterly against the decisions- . of the refereel Feilding winning the toss placed with the wind at their.backs, and. Bulls kicked off, Harley failing to take , it, brought the play close to Feilding'* ' line, the ball going out ef touch in "Feilding's 25. On the ball being thrown in a lot of loose play occurred, the ball being gradually' worked across the- field into touch. The ball in play, Bulls pushed Feilding very hard, who were relieved by a dribbliug rush of Feeding's forwards, headed by Aitken, Campbell and 01dham r to about half-way, here a lot of loose play on the line occurred, each side alternately loosing and gaining ground, Sitortly . Bfter, Ful ding forwards got on a splendid rush and carried it oyer Bull's'kne, Harley, by a lot of smart play, touching down for FeiMmg, which was converted by Bellve. The tall 'bti::g brought;to-half-way,'Bulls soon had B'eilding again on the defensive, lots of loose play being- __ the order of things, from which Norton. The ball being- again, brought out, Bulls' forwards, by a good' rush, secured another try, which Nor- • ton converted. Here Feilding rallied for a while, Aitken, Oldham, ,Camj>bell,. able amount of interest judging by the- ; number of spectators, of whom there wereabout; 200, the fair sex, turning out in great force, and who, seemed Bulls' most ardent supporters, judging by the times you would hear a feminine voice exclaim r " Now Bulls, play up," and " Pull upyour stockings, do." Anyhow, I don't blame them for sticking up for their boys,, who are as nice a lot of fellows to playfootball with as anyone could wish ,to>meet. Messrs Fowler and Bemington umpired for Feilding and Bulls respectively, and the Eev. I. Jones was referee*. Junior. •- _____ ' i Awahuri defeated Hunterville in thfr Junior Cup match, at Marton, on Saturday, by 4 points to nil. The local footballers can boast of one-' victory on Saturday last, and that was the match between the boys attendingthe Feilding and Awahuri State Schools, when the latter were easily defeated by 8- ■ tries to one.
