Volunteers m this district will be glad to learn that Capt Pleasants is rapidly regaining bis health, and will be able to resume command of his company on Thursday next. The Manchester Bines paraded on Thursday night, Lieut Kirton in command. There was a full muster of noncommissioned officers and men. The men were instructed in the ÜBual course. Sergt- Fowles put them through the sword bayonet exercise, and Sergt Evans the firing exercise. After the roll had been called, Lieut Kirton stated ttat Major Newall would inspect the corps on Thursday next, when it was expected that all arms and accoutrements would be produced m good order, perfectly clean and neat. Special stress was laid on the desirableness of punctuality. Corporal Collins and Volunteer Aitken were appointed orderlies for the week. The parade was then dismissed,
