Memoranda. # Additions are made to F. B. Jackson and Co.'s next Feildiug sale. The next monthly meeting of the Feilding Masonic Lodge will take place on Monday, the 17th inst. Mr F. Bray, the well known hairdres.* ser in Fergusson street, has an entirely new stock of cig irettes and tobaoco. Mr Colville announces that owing to the success of his sale last week he has determined to continue his cheap sale of boots and shoes uutil further notice. A replace advertisement is published to-day from the Government Insurance Department, in which money is adver- j tised to lend. Tenders are invited for felling 350 acr >s of light bush in the Kiwitea. Specifications may be seen at Mrs Hastie's Hotel, Feilding; Mr Lowes' Hotel, Birmingham, or at the manager's, Mr Hewett, on the ground. Entries for Messrs F. E. Jackson & Co's ne_t Palmerston sale are published to»day. The Kiwitea Eoad Board Engineer, Mr C. Bray, invites tenders for public works. For particulars see advertisement. We have to acknowledge roceipt of a copy of the "Huia Waltz composed by A. Mateur, and published by H. Eru of Auckland. To-day Messrs Hocken Bros, advertise for sale ahorse.dog cart and harness which is really the host turn-out on the coast. Any person desirous of obtaining this, had better make application to the vendors at once, \>ecause it is seldom such a really good chance offers. We publish to-day a card from Mr E. J. King, of the Te Aro Music Warehouse, Wellington, formerly of Wanganui. Mr King is a large importer of music and musical instruments, and orders by post will be promptly attended to. The "Huia Schottische," composed by Mr King's son (Mr Francis A. King), is exceedingly popular in Wellington, and is meeting with a largo salo. Already the first edition has been disposed of, aud a second edition is now in the press. The schottische is musical and v taking," and in time will, no doubt, become as popular in tbis district as it has become in Wellington and elsewhere. Messrs Geo. Thomas and Co.'s new brick warehouse, nearly opposite the General Post Office, is the latest addition to the list of splendid buildings which have been erected in Wellington during the past few years. The building is a substantial, commodious, and handsome one, and is fitted with every appliance necessary to meet the wants and requirements of the largest iind most successful grain and produce and auctioneering busiuess in Wellington. We congro folate the proprietors, Messrs F. W. Haybittle and E. B. Bristow, ou their enterprise, and wish them every success in their new premises. The building was designed by Mr F. cle J. Clere, architect, formerly of Feilding.
