The name of "Daw's Stables" has been changed to the " Feildmg Horse Bazaar " by the new proprietors, Messrs Sommerville and Co. The stables at the Feilding Hotel are also leased by the same firm who have thereby secured two of the best possible sites for their busi ness in Feildmg. They hope by strict attention to the requiremeuts of their customers, to merit a fair share of the patronage of the resident and travelling public. A new advertisement from the firm will appear in our next issue.

On Saturday night a contemptible robbery was coinuiitted at a private dwellinghouse in Feilding. It appears that the owner was in the habit of placing, to be corned, pieces # of beef in a pickle tub which stood outside in the yard. On Sunday morning when the domestic went to the tub to select a piece of meat to boil for dinner, it was discovered that the primest cut had been annexed by some person or other who was not too particular as to how he gained his living. These mean thefts are very disgusting, especially when it is remembered that there is abundance of work to be got, so that no one need go hungry.
