" Oh Ye Hypocrites !"

" Puff," in the Press, has the following : — Do you see a parson in Manchester has openly prayed for the conversion of the Pnuoe of Wales ! I'm sure the Prince ought to be very much obliged to him ! There's no cheek like that of the Pharisee 1 I'll bet— You sinner, you musn't bet, or you'll have a parson praying for you ! Not much, I'm past it for one thing, and too small game for another. What I «vant to say is that I'll eat my hat if— man against man and temptations against temptations — the the Prince of Wales isn't a better man than the parson who prayed for him ! The Key Mr Harrison thought it was the one chance of his life to be heard of outside his congregation, and " he took it ! ' Ah, there's a little verse in the Divine Book most of them overlook : " When ye pray ye shall not be as the hvpocntes for they love to stand and pray m the synagogues that they may be seen of men . , . . yerily they have their reward !" But that refers only to one's own prayers ! Well, it was the Rev Harrison's own prayer, and he has his reward in his interesting name and action being telegraphed all over the world ? - I expect he will have his photograph taken and labelled " The man who prayed for the conversion of the Prince of Wales !" You'll see it in the next Pall Mall Budget or Review of Reviews as large as life !
