Wellington Land Board

The ordinary monthly meeting of the Land Board was held on Thursday last. Present — Mwesrs J-. W. Baker, Commissioner (in the chair), W. W. McCardle, W. A. Ficzhei'bert, and A. "W. Ho^g. The following applications tor titles were granted ; J. G. Harris, section 38, Block XIII., Apiti ; E. Smith, section 43, Block ViL, Mangaone ; J. Miller and J. O'Neill, section 26, Block 111., Mangaone ; E. P. Mason, section 9, Bioak XVI., Onga ; T. H. Groves, sections 9 and 10, Block, XI, Mangaone ; W. Preston, section 38, Block, IX., Mangaone; F. McAnulty, section 1482, Buniiythorpe. . The following applications to transfer "Were approved: — Section 21, Block VII, H. Brandt to "W. H. and J. A. Pawson ; section 4, BJock V., Mangaone, R. H. Fogden to A. Fogden ; section 40, Block IX, Mangaone, J. Allrechtsen to J. H. Lov\e; section 17, Block XIV, Ongo, E. H. Cummerfield to J. H. Taylor ; saction 12, Block VII, Apiti, F. Seroncke to H. Burne. The following applications to transfer sections were postponed : — H. Jolly to E. Shannon, sections 1 and 10, Block XV., Ongo ; same to same, section 3, Block XV., Ongo. It was resolved to ofier Eeserve section 41a, Block XI., Apiti, for leasing by auction under the Public Reserves Act, 1881, at an upset rental of Is per acre. The Crown Lands Ranger, Mr Lundin, wrote stating that he was unable to find any instances of subletting sections in the Feilding BJock.
