Football
The folio-wing team will represent the Feilding Fire Brigade in their match against the Palmorston Fire Brigade on Wednesday next, 29th instant : — Captain Morev, Lieutenant Shearer, Foreman Nicholson, Firemen Whisker (2), Bellve, Kitchen, Joe Eobinson, F. Saywell, M. Belfit, Watts, Collins, Aitken, Porthouse, and Fred Keen. A football practice will be held on the Oval on Saturday afternoon, and although the second fifteen will be out off town fulfilling their engagement with Hunterville, it is to be hoped there will be a good muster of the Seniors, as the match against Palmerston will take place on the following Saturday. A football match has been arranged for Wednesday afternoon between sides representing the boarders at the Royal Hotel and Mrs Fmnis's boarding house against the Awahuri football club. The following players will represent the boarders:— Full-back, Jensen; threequarters, Stallard. Amor and Buttons ; halves, Battershell, and Randell ; forwards, Burton, Brophy, Langton, Smith,, j Haybittle, Aldrige, Johnson and J. RushV — Manawatu Times.
