July 7. . * The wool sales closed to day, spirited bidding being maintained to the end. Merinos have firmly maintained their prices. Scoured sorts have realised more and crossbreds less than -it previous sales. Sixteen thousand bales were taken for the Continent, 14,000 for America, and 162,000 for England. Thirteen thousan i bales were held over Sydney, July 8. Wheat— Chick, 3s 6d to 3s 101 5 milling;, 4s 6d to ss. Flour— Stone, £10 5s to £10 15s ; roller, £11 10s tn £12, Oats (seed), feeding, Is 9d to 2s : maize, 2s to 2s 31 ; brn and pollard, 9£d. Potatoes — Zealand, £2 15s; Circular Keads. £4- Onions, £4 <js to £4 KKs Butter — Dairy. Is lOd ; fnntory^s ; New Zealand, Is 3d to Is 6d. Cheese— 7^d to 8d Bacon — Machiue, 5d to tid ; hand, 6;i to 7d. Hams, New Zerland, lOd to lid.
