A negro' women- in Washington {Georgia), 'killed her little daughter, tjooked the body, the flesh of which was like veal, gave a hot supper, and made 15 dollars out of the affair. While the dance, was proceeding subsequently another child disclosed the horror. The negroes are excited.' and threaten to Lynch the fiendish woman. • At Ducktown, Tennessee, a young bride, named Mary Williams, was whipped to death by a party of masked women on May 12th. • It appears the girl had become the second wife of ..an old man tiamed Bell, and bis daughters objected to her. There were three of them, and assisted by some women of the neighborhood, they" lured the young wife into the woods on the pretext of going to gather terries, and then tortured her to. death in, the manner 'stated. -'A 'fight grew out of Tthe afiair among- the- men folk, and several of them were shot to death. The three daughters who did , the whipping were arrested, but a strong' party was ■immediately ' formed to prevent them .toeing taken to jail. - . ■ The question •, of the marriage of" two sons of > the- Prince of , Wales will . be -settled at a family council soon. The Prince objects to the marriage of his sons with German Princesses, on the ground that it will imperial his popularity. The St James' Gazette demands an explanation from Bramwell Booth, son of" General Booth; as to why he is a creditor "in the sniD'of £2,200 -of the bankrupt Stock of a broker named Taylor, and suggests that he has been stock gambling with funds subscribed for the Salvation Army.
