STEVENS & GORTON'S STOCK REPORT.

Bulls, June 17. We held our usual sale at Bulls on Tuesday 9th and at Awahuri yesterday, there was a good * attendance at both places, but business waß slack, more particularly for cattle, and we look for no higher prices for store cattle for the next two or three months at, anyrate. Fat cattle of all kinds must rise in value as there will be a great many frozen the next few months, owing to the high price of fat, wethers, which leaves so little margin from • present prices at Home. We quote: — • - Bulla : Fat cows, £310s to £4; empty cows, £2 to £2 12s '6d; mixed yearlings, 355"; weaners, £1 to £1 5s ; milk cows, at profit good demand at from, £4 to £7. Sheep—Fat wethers'heavy weights, 14s 9d to 15s 4d; store do, 13s to 13s 6d ; good ewes in lamb, 13s to 14s 9d; old do, 9s to lis; shorn lambs, 8s; woolly do, 10s. Awahuri: Cattle —Fat cows, a little easier owing to having more than the demand warranted, we quote, £3.7s 6d to i£3 15s; store cows, £3; weaners, 255; I milkers, from £3 10s to £4. Sheep—Fat wethers, 14s 6d; stdre do,- 12s 6d ; woolly Jambs, 10s M to lis Id; shorn do, 8s .to 9s; good ewes in lamb, to 13s; old do, '9s. ' Our quarterly horse sale at Palmerston on Saturday last was'not a great success, owing to the great.number of weeds and screws coming forward, we could have sold any number of good horses of all I classes. "
