Victorian wheat, 435, market weaker ; South Australian wheat, 445, " market weaker. •'- • The wool market is active, and prices 1 at the Bales are, very firm. Three thousand bales of sheep skins were offered today, and most of them were sold at prices •equal to those ruling at last sales. Wellington, June 13. George Thomas and Co. report wholesale produce prices as follows : — Flour — The present values of roller and stone process remain unaltered, and very few transactions are passing, in consequence of bakers .purchasing heavily prior to the jfise. Oats — There is an indication of improvement, and large shipments are now leaving southern .districts for Australia. Potatoes — The market is overstocked, and it is extremely difficult to make sales, in fact the outlook for disposal of ' this product is exceedingly gloomy. Onions are firmly, held at an advance on late rates. Good- whole fowl wheat is rather . scarce. Oiher lines remain unaltered, and we quote roller flour £12 10s to £12 15s ; stone do., £11 to £11 10s; wheatmeal, £11,; bran, 80s'; pollard, "955 ; whole fowls wheat, 3s 9d to 3s lid ; prime short oats, Is 10£ dto 2s;. Danish *nd' Tartars, ls.9d to Is lOd; oatmeal, £8 to £9 10s ; oaten .sheaf chaff, 60s to 70s ; straw do, 50s to ,555 ; baled straw. 655; beans, 2s. 6dj- peas/ 3s 6d; pearl barley,, £ls ; feed barley, 2s 3d to 2s 6d ; split peas, , £14 10s ; maize, 3s 6d to 3s 7d ; Derwent potatoes, -40s to 455, nominal ; onions, £5 lOs ; seed fluke potatoes, <Sosto7os; bacon and hams, 6|d,; cheese, 4|d to 4Jd; eggs, Is -9d to Is lOd ; fresh butter r prirae, Bd;salt butter, 6dto7d;~ turkeys, ss. to 65.; fowls, 23 3d to 2s 6d; geese, ss; ducks, 3s 6d per pair. The market for fruit is active, although 'overstocked. ' The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile ' Agency ( 'ciupusiy (Limited) haye receiver] the following cable message from their Xondon office, dated 14th June : — Tallow -- Market slightly weaker, it having declined 3d per cwt since last report. Frozen meat — Market firmer. Canterbury tnatton is worth 4£d per lb. Wellington mutton is worth 4d per lb. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase ££d per lb.- .Price, of. be has advanced per lb since last report.
